Another month on and 5 months, 5 months!! I have to admit that I totally forgot you were 5 months today, that’s second children for you (sorry Evie) but the last month has absolutely flown.
We’ve seen you progress so much in the last week or so though, you really want to do more and play with Amelie and when you can’t I see the frustration… I think you’re going to be an early crawler!
Now you can
You can sit up when I hold your hands now. When you’re tired you do tend to lean forward but when you’ve had a good nap and are fed you love to sit up and look around. You can lift your head up really well on your tummy now, although I don’t think you are a big fan!
You are very nosy, you nearly fell out of my arms the other day trying to quickly look around at someone in a coffee shop! You know how to work a crowd, if we are in a lift or around people and they look at you, you crack the biggest smile and start gurgling at them, its very sweet.
We haver started sitting you in your high chair and in your mama’s and papa’s snug. You get very frustrated lying down and want to be where the action is, you love it but get tired quickly at the moment.
Your favourite toys are
Anything you can chew! You love teething toys at the moment and I have been on the hunt for lovely ones.
You also LOVE your Lamaze Unicorn and Lamaze bird – they are so colourful and they always keep you occupied when we are out.
You like to
CHAT! You have really found your voice and at times are really loud, I think you are testing how loudly you can gurgle. You also love to giggle – you have the most adorable little laugh and today you even did a real belly laugh, I was obviously very funny!
You love to feel Amelie’s hair and face when she cuddles you, you are so intrigued with her and what she is doing. Amelie always says to you ‘Evie careful eyes’ (I wonder where she got that from) as you are always exploring her face and feeling what she looks like.
Pull my glasses off! You often pull my glasses off when I am rocking you or I am holding you up winding you.
What I love
I love the way you stretch out your arms when I take you out of your cot for your dream feed, it gets me every night.
What we have done
We did lots together when Amelie was on half term from pre-school and you were so good about being dragged round!
We have made the long trip up North to meet your Great Grandma and your Uncle and Auntie.
We have started going to a baby class, Hartbeeps on a Wednesday, you absolutely loved all the sensory play and the music.
