My get ready in five minutes tricks

Maybe it’s just me but there are days when showering seems like an impossibility let alone doing my hair and make up. As such I have kitted out my make up bag with essentials that can do a good job and quickly!

Here are my get ready in five minutes tricks … (all stashed in my gorgeous Jem and Bea ‘Mama’ clutch.

A good lipstick

I think a good lipstick always dresses you up no matter how tired you’re looking. I always feel a bit more human and ready for the day with it on! I’m loving this Mac satin lipstick in pink nouveau at the moment. It goes with everything and stays on really well. I have really dry skin so this also helps moisturise my lips and doesn’t crack like other lipsticks.

Bronzer / blusher

I love this benefit Hervana bronzer / blusher, perfect for that lift you need in winter! It’s a combination of colours and I think it has a lovely glow when on.

Benefit waterproof mascara
I wear contact lenses at times so I need a good mascara that won’t run. This benefit mascara is great and lasts really well.

Benefit play stick foundation and concealer
This is my favourite foundation. It’s a stick so you can literally roll it on, rub it in and go! I find I don’t need a powder on top so it really does everything. Best invention ever.

Hands

I have awfully dry hands in the winter which can be really painful so in the day I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream and at night I use Neom scent and sleep which not only leaves my hands super soft as it has rich cocoa and shea butter it’s also has a lovely uplifting scents to help with sleep.

When they are really bad I use a doctors perscribed Zerobase cream which I find works wonders quickly.

My hair

It’s naturally wavy and I used to spend hours straightening it but I really don’t have time for that at the moment so I usually try and blow dry it with a curl each side. To do this I wrap all my hair each side around my finger and then dry it. This tends to stay for a few days and I refresh it with Batiste.

And that’s me done!

Unfortunately I haven’t perfected a quick makeup routine yet, I either look decent and its taken me forever or I look a total mess, usually the latter! The benefit mascara is definitely a favourite in my make up bag. That clutch bag is so cute!
