Mummy friend pictures

February 6, 2017

It struck me the other day when I was doing a blog post that needed images of the girls and I that there are hardly any pictures of us that aren’t selfies. As nice as those selfies are it’s always better when someone else is taking the photo.

You’ve probably seen some of the posts recently on social media from one Mum who was asking her husband and our husbands to take more pictures of us and our children. I’m that person as well, I always have to prompt my husband to take pictures of me and girls as I am conscious of the fact our family albums will have one person missing.
I was out with a friend the other day and it made me think that instead of always nagging husbands/partners we should take things into our own hands and help each other. My husband works 5 days a week and I see my mummy friends most days so there are lots of opportunities for us all to get those gorgeous pictures of us and our little ones.
So, when you’re next out with your friends at a baby class or just walking in the park with the children, pick up your camera and take a picture of them. They’ll value it for years to come and we’ll have so many more real life and unposed pictures of us and our children.

I always try to make the time to send the photos to them after I’ve seen them too, as otherwise they end up disappearing in the thousands of (mostly my daughter) photos.
