Have you been thinking about having a family photoshoot with your newborn? We did when our little boy was a few weeks old and we are so in love with the images we wanted to share them…
There is something about photos and the memories they bring. I can still feel how I felt on my wedding day when I look back on the photos, they’re something I’ll treasure forever. We had a newborn shoot when Evie was a baby, at 12 days old we went to a studio and got some gorgeous shots of her – this time though, as Ellis completes our family I was keen for some different photos, a family shoot.
The lovely Fiona Caroline offered to take some photos of newborn Ellis when he was a few weeks old and they are just beautiful. She spent a couple of hours with us in our home and this is what she captured.
So often parents take hundreds of pictures of the baby, but there aren’t many pictures of them with the baby – my husband is particularly camera shy, but I so pleased I have some pictures of him with Ellis – I know when they all grow up they’ll love seeing us with them.
Involving the older siblings in a newborn shoot is so special, you get to see the instant bond they have with their new sibling and capture some special moments with you.
It is also so nice to have some photos to treasure of just me and my baby. A couple of weeks after a C-section, I wasn’t feeling quite myself but I love seeing the early days of us together.
It wouldn’t be a family photoshoot without some silly moments and some sister moments would it – I love these pictures of my girls!
Who could forget capturing those adorable baby toes? And those funny faces. Things that might have been forgotten, captured forever on film…
Thank you Fiona for capturing such a special time in our family photoshoot.
*This shoot was a press shoot, in exchange for a post on social media*
