Looking for outdoor toys for kids? Look no further…
We are all going to be spending more time at home over the next few months. There are lots of virtual classes being set-up but sometimes it’s good to be outdoors.
If you have a garden here are 10 ideas of the best outdoor toys to keep the kids occupied. Now, let’s hope for sunny days!
10 of the best outdoor toys for kids
1) A swing set
Everyone loves the swings, in fact, it’s the one thing in our park that always has a queue.
We have this TP twin set (AD) so both children can go on at the same time and we really rate it. Or try the single swing set (AD)
2) A Tunnel
A pop up tunnel is a brilliant toy for toddlers who love to keep active. It can be popped up instantly, is great for keeping them physically active and is a good one to add to a garden obstacle course.
3) A climbing frame
My girls love the climbing frame at the park. This one looks amazing…
4) Mud kitchen
My two love mud kitchens when they’re at school or preschool. They can get messy, create their own ‘food’ and it keeps them busy for hours.
This one by TP Toys (AD)is really reasonable and would be great for any garden.
Alternatively, this one (AD)has a bit more space and might be better if you have more than one child.
5) Gardening tools
A great way to keep children occupied in the garden is to teach them about growing their own plants and fruit and veg.
You’ll need seeds, a garden bed or pot and then a few extras like a watering can, and maybe a wheelbarrow (AD) if they want to do some digging
6) Paddling pool
If it gets warmer then a paddling pool is a must! We love this brightly coloured one which we think it the perfect outdoor toy for kids this Spring and Summer.
7) Football goal
A football goal is perfect for little ones who want to get some practice in the warmers months. We love how small this is when folded. Perfect for when you don’t want something up in the garden all the time.
8) Slide
We love our slide from Little Tikes. They have two sizes, one for infants and toddlers and a bigger one for (I’d suggest) over 3.
9) Parachute
You might have seen these parachutes in baby sensory classes but there is no reason why you can’t have these at home too. We have one and the girls love hiding under it and creating waves. Try this one for lots of fun in the sun.
10). Sandpit
Hours of fun for the little ones and this one from Plum Play looks fab and can sit on your patio or grass.
