The Ivy Cobham Brasserie, one of my favourite local restaurant is celebrating Halloween with a week of special menus, spooky cocktails and a show-stopping Haunted House installation this October.
The Ivy as we know it will be transformed into a Haunted House, something that both adults and children can enjoy this Halloween. You’ll find rooms and the exterior covered in cobwebs, skulls, spiders, roses and more from Wednesday, 24 October to Thursday, 1 November.
For lovers of the Ivy food you’ll find the menu turned into a special “Halloweek” menu, where you can choose from limited edition dishes such as Grave-lax & blood orange (cured salmon with a bloody orange dressing), roasted pumpkin (whole mini pumpkin with Freekah, tofu, coriander and red pepper sauce), steak through the heart (seared rare tuna steak, crispy artichoke heart, black garlic sauce, pomegranate and smoked aubergine) and a tantalising “chocolate skull” dessert (salted caramel chocolate pudding, golden popping candy and honeycomb, served alongside vanilla ice cream).
The special menu is priced at £40 per person for three courses and for adults there will be a seasonal cocktail, the Spiced Apple Martini (£8.75) created by the restaurant’s bar team. A non-alcoholic children’s “Mini Pumpkin” mocktail will also be available, featuring grenadine, orange juice and lemonade.
Richard Roper, General Manager at The Ivy Cobham Brasserie, says: “We are very excited to be celebrating Halloween for the first time this year. We’ll be offering a dedicated menu for both adults and children to enjoy and we can’t wait to see our guests’ reactions when they arrive at the restaurant. We’ll be encouraging diners to dress up and fully immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit, with trick or treating and spooky characters performing outside the restaurant from 4.30pm to 8.30pm on the night of Halloween itself.”
The Ivy Cobham Brasserie’s Halloweek celebrations, including the special menu’s and drinks, will be available for one-week-only, from Wednesday, 24 October to Wednesday, 31 October inclusively with the Halloween set menu available daily from 4pm.
The restaurant will also be running a social media competition, which will invite guests and passers-by to take a photo for instagram outside the restaurant’s spooky exterior throughout the week. The guest who posts the best photo will win a meal for four worth up to £400. Entrants will need to follow @ivycobhambrass, tag the restaurant and include #IvyHalloweek within their post in order to be entered into the competition.
We are really excited to see the decorations for Halloweek so see you there!
