I often feel as a stay at home Mum that Daddy doesn’t always get all the cuddles and love he deserves as the girls naturally run for me when something goes wrong. However, Daddy is a HUGE part of their lives and when I look at photo’s of them together you can see the love and joy they get from one on one time.
This Father’s Day, instead of the usual gifts of socks, beer or chocolates I have personalised some photo gifts for him.
I wanted to capture the fun and playful moments the girls have with him, the special moments where they look at him like he’s their World. I want him to have a keepsake of these special early years, but I also know it’ll be something for the girls to cherish. They love looking at memories already, especially photos on my Instagram. Photos are something that will last a lifetime, but it’s so easy to leave them on your phone, never to be seen again so printing them into meaningful gifts let’s us keep those cherished memories.
I have designed three gifts for him using Snapfish. Snapfish is an online photo printing store, which not only sells prints but amazing unique and personalised gifts.
I chose to make a photo book, a mug for his morning cup of coffee and a Fathers Day card to accompany the gifts.
The girls were so excited when the products arrived and as soon as their Daddy came home they wanted to show him their memories.
They spent a good ten minutes looking through the photos I had chosen. The photo book has a great layout with embellishments and backgrounds especially for Fathers Day, with captions like ‘Daddy we love you’, ‘Family time’ and ‘Dad’ so I tried to group events and holidays together in sections.
I loved mixing both photos I have on my phone and ones from my Instagram feed. They were so simple to upload and it took minutes to add – the hard part was choosing our favourite memories!
I could see the excitement on Amelie’s face as she remembered special moments with her Daddy and although he isn’t the biggest fan of having his photo taken I know he thought this was really special.
The second gift was a personalised photo mug. I chose a photo of the girls and their Daddy at the beach chasing waves and matched the colour of the mug to the blues in the sea.
He’s going to take this to work so he has that happy memory of seaside trips with him wherever he has a coffee (which as a sleep deprived Dad is a lot)!
Finally we made a Fathers Day card using on of my favourite Instagram photos. I chose a simple layout and hen added the photo. I love this card!
I have been so impressed with the Snapfish personalisation service. The presents are so unique and make an amazing present that Daddy can keep forever.
