Toddlers pastel bedroom

April 2, 2018

We decorated our daughter’s bedroom a few months ago, adding a teepee bed as she was ready to move out of her cot.

Today we made the finishing touches with some ‘sprinkle’ wall decor and I have to say it is now one of my favourite rooms in the house. It’s a really calming, pretty room and she absolutely loves it. I’ll list below where everything is from.

Hope you enjoy.

The big change to her room was the addition of a bed instead of a cot and for this transition, we chose a teepee bed from Mini Maison in a cot bed size. We did this so we could keep her mattress and for now, the size is perfect for her.

Her bedding is from Snap Bright, I love the bunnies it’s a really sweet set.

I love finding pretty prints for her room and these two prints from PandR designs were a lovely personalised addition and sit next to her bed.

On the frame of her bed, we have a hair clip catcher from NAJB Kids. This is personalised as well and is such a good idea for us as we always seem to lose hair clips!

The design looks really sweet on her teepee bed and the white cloud fits perfectly with the pastel / dreamy theme in the room.

The new area we created in her room was a reading corner. As she is getting a little older and ready to drop her naps we thought a ‘chill out’ area would be nice. We added some blankets, a chair, some cute cushions and sprinkle wall stickers  from Happy Decs.

The wall stickers are amazingly easy to put on, Amelie even helped us and the best bit, if you go wrong you can peel them off and start again. It also means you can update decor without needing to re-paint or re-wallpaper as your little one grows up and tastes change.

This Amelie sign sits on her wardrobe but to show it I’ve held it up against her wall. This was from Fox and Weave.

Her prints, which were originally bought when she was a baby still sit in the room as we love them! They are from Eeflillemor.

Above the head of her bed, we have a garland from Velveteen Babies (which I have to restrain myself from looking at as I love everything they do) and an Amelie princess sign from NAJB Kids.

I love finding trinkets and ornaments for all areas of our house, but especially for the girl’s rooms. I love this Pineapple and ice cream light from This Modern Life. The music box is from JoJo Maman Bebe and it’s something she always likes to get down and dance to.

The bookshelf is something we absolutely love and is from Great Little Trading Company. I love that the girls can choose books based on their covers and find this encourages reading so much more than our previous bookshelf.

I’m so pleased with Amelie’s room. It’s the perfect little girl’s sanctuary and she loves being in there (so does her sister which causes many arguments)!

So peaceful and sanctuary like feel. My daughter turns 14 next week but has a sudden love of pastels so may try and be inspired by this one. #ThursdayTeam

What a delightful bedroom your daughter has. I love the fact that she can do things for herself easily like getting in and out of bed. #ThursdayTeam
