The Little Welly obstacle course comes to Surrey…

March 12, 2018

The Little Welly Obstacle Course & Festival is coming to Surrey this May.

If you haven’t heard of The Little Welly before, it’s the UK’s biggest children’s obstacle course and this year it is bigger, better and muddier than it’s ever been before and Surrey Mum’s it is coming to us on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of May.

This one of a kind experience has been designed for children aged four & over and parents and carers are welcome to join in all the fun.

At The Little Welly event, you’ll find 30 big obstacles over a 3km course, your children will run, jump, climb, swing, slide and crawl through the popular outdoor adventure series in the woodland of this beautiful estate.

Kids can scale the heights of The Web Frame, conquer the looming Dark Crawl, splash through the Mud & Water Pits, brave the Spider Tunnel, bounce in the Foam Pit and once they have completed all 30 obstacles they can collect their medal and enjoy the other fun activities on site.

It’s not just the obstacle course that kids can get involved in, Surrey Wildlife Trust has created a fun programme of activities to kick off their 30 Days Wild campaign for all the family to get involved with. You’ll find mini-beast hunts, leaf art, marshmallow cooking, fire lighting lessons and Mud kitchens to name a few. Sophie Cod from Surrey Wildlife Trust says “Surrey Wildlife Trust believes that all children should be able to explore their wild side and The Little Welly “Goes Wild” offers just such an opportunity. Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Wintershall Estate, children will be able to get active, have fun & be more connected with nature.”

Finally The Festival Village has something for all the family to enjoy with Laser Tag, Zorbing, Helter Skelter, Climbing Wall, Bertie Slippers on stilts, pony rides, den building, football darts, toddler course, Bungee trampolining, a huge stage with live music & entertainment & an array of culinary delights to feed all the family. There really is something for all of the family.

One of the Festival Goers last year said “My kids both absolutely loved yesterday at Henley-On-Thames, we all had an amazing time as a family, haven’t had that much fun in a long time – great for all the family young and old. when else can you encourage your kids to get stuck in and get completely covered in mud from head to toe?!”

The Little Welly obstacle course and festival is set to be a brilliant day out for all the family whatever the weather, so if you have children over four it’s well worth a look…

A child course & festival ticket costs £19.50, adult assist course & festival ticket is £9.50 and a festival only ticket is £6.50. Car parking is free.
