5 minutes as a busy Mum of two

January 24, 2018

Today is #takefiveweek and today I am sharing what I do in 5 minutes as a busy Mum of two.

You can probably guess that in 5 minutes I get a LOT done when I have the little ones with me; I’m making lunch, playing with them, tidying up after them… you get the idea!

#takefiveweek is part of the wider Take Five to Stop Fraud campaign that’s running, backed by UK Finance, representing financial institutions, and Government and is encouraging us to take five minutes to think before we give away personal information.

You can find out more about Take Five and also find top tips to keep your personal information and money safe.

What would you do in 5 minutes? Does it look as busy as mine …?

Sarah xx

*This post is in support of the Take Five campaign as always my thoughts and opinions are 100% my own*

This is a brilliant idea. No matter how busy I am, and declare “I don’t have five minutes” I can always create it somewhere. It’s about committing to self care, even if it forms just a snippet of your day. It’s also important I think to just stop and take five with your kids and be present. It’s so easy to get swept up in all the “doing”.
It’s also a good campaign to think about how easily we give away information. It’s easy with technology and so much information captured on our phone already, to share things. Who knows where it will end up and very often we don’t stop to read the T&Cs or find out where it’s going.

My 5 minutes would probably be very similar! I am new mother of 2! I have a 2 year old and a 3 week old so life is whirlwind at the moment haha! #thursdayteam

Such an important campaign; I hate hose calls! Craig used to fall foul of them regularly which was a nightmare! He nearly lost £300 once trying to change the address on his driving license through a dodgy site! #ThursdayTeam

I would choose five of my busier moments — I won’t count the minutes doing blogging and commenting as they are fun! #ThursdayTeam

What a fab campaign to be a part of. My mum has been scammed before at a petrol station where they cloned her card! So I’m always very vigilant when it comes to giving my details to anyone. xx #teamthursday

I juggle a lot in 5 minutes but right now I am just stunned at how you keep such a lovely home with little ones. #BlogItVlogIt

True, I never realised the value of five minutes (and how much can be done in that time) until I became a mum!!!

It’s amazing what we can do in 5mins! And great way to raise awareness of fraud!

This is such a great campaign. Before kids I barely got anything done in 5 minutes but it amazing how efficient I am now. % minutes is a long time!
