Best of 2017

December 29, 2017

This blog is nearly a year old, so what better way to remember the first year than to look back on my best performing blog posts.

When I looked at the stats, the top posts didn’t surprise me with lots of my Mama You Can series appearing there. The Mama You Can series has without doubt been one of my favourite parts of this blog. I set it up to feature inspirational Mama’s who after finding previous jobs didn’t work once they had a family set up other ventures. I am continually inspired by these stories and look forward to bringing you more in 2018.

Also in my top 10 are some of my travel posts, which again is one of my passions in life! I wish I could do more, let’s see where 2018 takes us!

A big thank you to all of you who have read my blog in 2017, I hope to see you all next year.

Here are my top ten posts of 2017

1. Mama You Can: Kelly Pike

Kelly Pike @bristol_mama

The first in my Mama You Can series featured Kelly if you haven’t read it do catch up as she has some great advice if you are a freelancer.

2. First aid, a skill every parent needs

first aid for babies and children for world first aid day

I am really pleased to see this in the top 10 as I wrote it to raise awareness of something I think is so important, first aid skills for parents. After Evie had two scary choking incidents I wanted to tell the story as it was so vital I had known what to do.

3. 15 things to do with toddlers over the summer in Surrey

This was a bit of a ‘to do’ list for me over the summer holidays, we managed some but not all so I will be reading this again next Summer!

4. Our new car seat, the Cozy n Safe Merlin

cozy n safe merlin

This was a review post of our new car sear, something Evie still loves travelling in.

5. Our family holiday at Sani Resort

We absolutely loved our holiday at Sani resort in Greece, so much so we have booked for 2018, to see what we loved check out this post.

6. How to survive the heatwave with toddlers

After the heatwave turned my toddler and baby into monsters I decided to pull together some practical tips on how to survive.

7. Mama You Can: Amy Blackwood

Another in my Mama You Can series, this one from a local photographer Amy.

8. My hair makeover

My hair makeover at Regis made the top 10 – ridiculously I haven’t been to the hair dressers since then so this has given me a huge reminder that I need it doing again!

9. The heatwave has turned my children into monsters

It really did, they didn’t sleep, eat, were grumpy. This was a bit of a light hearted post about how my children had turned once the mercury rose!

10. Mama You Can: Jess Haworth

Mama You Can Jess Haworth

And finally the interview with one of my very talented ex colleagues Jess who set up her own training business after having her second baby. Well worth a read!

So there it is, my top 10 of 2017. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

Thank you again and Happy New Year.
