We are starting to spend a lot more time at my parents as they live in a lovely part of the world, by the seaside in Dorset.
But as our family grows, as does my sisters, we are running out of rooms in my parents house. We decided to re-decorate one of the rooms in the house, the attic room, into a children’s room so as the little ones get older they can all share a room on our beach escapes.
As my sister and I have four girls between us we decided to decorate the room in a Disney theme. We have a Pinterest board set up and have the following ideas to transform it into a little girls home away from home.
Girls Disney bedroom ideas
Dressing up area
I love the idea of having a girls dressing up area with lots of Disney costumes. I saw this idea on Pinterest and think it is a lovely idea. I think it would make the room really special when they are away from home.
I’ve seen princess bedding online quite a lot recently and think this or Disney bedding would look great on the single beds for the toddlers.
This bedding can be bought from John Lewis
Disney and Velux dream blinds
My parents have Velux windows in most of the rooms in their house and the blinds haven’t been replaced since the last owners so we thought replacing the ones in the girls room would make it really special and keep the light out so they (hopefully) sleep longer!
I love these patterns and think one of them would fit the theme really well.
As there will be four little ones in the room we would need good storage so I would buy something like this from Ikea to store all their bits when they are staying.

I love decorating rooms, especially when it’s a girls room! We have recently re-decorated Amelie’s room at home and there we did a pastel theme, to see what we did check out our video.
