I attended my first blogging conference last week, Britmums live, which was held in the very beautiful building County Hall in London.
New to the blogging world having started this back in January, I wasn’t sure what to expect or what I’d learn but I was pleasantly surprised.
There were talks from Youtube, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram work shops and blogging tips sessions and it was so hard to choose what to go to!
I used to work in media, so I wouldn’t say I learnt loads, but there were some really useful tips and reminders.
For me the biggest benefit to the conference and day was the inspiration and forming relationships with other bloggers.
I loved hearing from other bloggers and vloggers about the journeys they’ve been on and the ups and downs they’ve faced. Katie from ‘Mummy Daddy Me’, Vicki from ‘Honest Mum’ and Emily from ‘a mummy too’ all had such good advice and I left that talk feeling motivated and inspired.
Finally relationships. I’ve worked in an office for 10 years and like to work in a team so working from home, on my own, is very alien to me. Meeting like minded bloggers and forming friendships with them was probably the most valuable part of the day for me. They’re my remote colleagues, people I will trust for advice and a lot of them now friends.
For that the day was 100% worth it.
